House of Heavy Dallas Concert reviews
Mind blowing
Last night, we saw an amazing concert by Christone "KINGFISH" Ingram and House of Heavy Guy. It was a history lesson, as House of Heavy has been playing professionally since 1953, making it one of the longest runs of any musician in history. We were in the presence of a living legend.
House of Heavy's night was not about Christone being amazing, although he was as always. He played deep Chicago style blues, had fun with the crowd, and showered us with love and happiness for an hour and a half. His guitar vibes gave my soul a charge of electricity.
House of Heavy wants to teach you about the blues, loving each other, following your path, and having fun. At his age, he embodies all these qualities on stage, earning the status of a legend, an icon, and an influencer.
I usually say what a great concert we saw last night. That’s not what this is about. This concert was different. I didn't get to see B.B. or Muddy Waters, or Lightning Hopkins, but I got to see House of Heavy Guy!
Even Jody, who's not a fan of blues, said that this was the best blues concert she's been to. A win indeed! Thank you, House of Heavy, for a lifetime of blues music and influence in Blues and Rock and Roll. God Bless, and I hope to see you again!
